Volunteer with us

We are so thankful to everyone who gives their time to make St Anne’s House a welcoming creative and community hub! There are lots of ways to get involved and different opportunities come up throughout the year.

Event Volunteers:

We are looking for ad-hoc volunteers to help out for our one-off events and exhibitions. This volunteer position will involve welcoming members of the public into the building, representing Bricks + St Anne’s House and invigilating exhibitions. This won’t be regular volunteering but we can keep you in the loop with other opportunities we offer.

How to get involved: email erin@bricksbristol.org to find out more with the subject line ‘Event Volunteers’
If you live locally to St Anne’s House we are especially interested to have you on-board!

Support regular community activities:

We are always looking for ‘welcome volunteers’ who can come and support regular groups that happen here like the ‘morning meet up‘ and ‘4’0 clock club‘. This would include helping set up, meeting and greeting people, signposting to other activities and services and generally being a friendly face. Flexible hours, to be agreed.

Commitment: Weekly/Fortnightly. Suggested 3 hours weekly for 3 to 6 months.

How to get involved: email georgia@bricksbristol.org. to find out more with the subject ‘welcome volunteers’

Join St Anne’s Action Group:

Interested in getting involved but don’t have loads of time? Join the St Anne’s Action Group, our friendly volunteer group of local residents who come together monthly to help us make decisions about activities and development of St Anne’s House. You don’t need any special expertise or knowledge to join, it’s a great way to find out whats going on behind the scenes and meet other people locally. We are particularly keen to meet residents of St Anne’s Park who are currently underrepresented in the group.

Commitment: 2 hours a month. Currently we meet 6.30 – 8.00pm on the first Thursday of the month.

How to get involved: email georgia@bricksbristol.org to find out more with the subject ‘Action Group Volunteer’

Help out with the community newsletter:

Join the BRIZ volunteer editorial team. The newsletter is a product of volunteers inputs, skills, creativity, and team work. It wouldn’t be possible without the editorial team helping make the newsletter for local residents wants and needs.

How to get involved: email us at briz@bricksbristol.org with the subject ‘volunteer’

Start something yourself!

Work experience and internships

Although we welcome volunteers to support regular community events and activities as well as invigilating exhibitions and helping out with one-off events, we don’t have the capacity to support additional internships and work experience placements at the moment.
