St Anne’s Action Group

St Anne’s Action Group (SAAG) meets monthly to steer the direction of St Anne’s House, suggesting programming ideas, future development ideas and being the sounding board for projects being actioned. SAAG is a relatively informal group and takes on an advisory role rather than being legally responsible for any of the decisions made.

St Anne’s Open House wouldn’t be what it is today without the voices and support of the St Anne’s Action Group.

The group meets 6.30pm – 8pm of the first Thursday of every month in St Annes.

What is St Anne’s Action Group?

  • A friendly volunteer group of people who live near St Annes House and help us make decisions about what happens here
  • Outside of the monthly sessions group members help us spread the word about activity at St Annes House and let us know about other things going on in the local area.
  • We ask people to contribute thoughts and feedback on future plans via email/documents outside of the sessions.

What happens in the sessions?

Usually we start with a bit of catch-up and socialise then there is time to find out about upcoming plans at St Annes House feed into planning/feedback on activity. What we explore in the session is different each month but for example, the group recently made decisions about allocations of the BRIZ funding pot to local groups.

Who can join?

Anyone who is interested and can commit to attending the session and contributing their thinking on the future of St Annes is welcome to join. You don’t need any special expertise or knowledge to join. We are particularly keen to meet residents living in St Annes Park as they are currently underrepresented in the group.

Do I need to attend every session?

No – we understand things come up so you may not be able to make it to every session but we ask that you try not to miss two months in a row.

Why should I join?

To meet new people in your area, find out what is going on behind the scenes at St Annes House, make a positive impact/help shape the future of your local area.

How do I join?
