Community Infrastructure Levy Stage 1 applications 2026
Have your say on CIL Applications by filling out the form linked below by the 10th May
We are now acting as a Community Connector to support the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) process across our area. Our role is to bridge the gap between local communities and council decision-makers, ensuring residents’ voices directly shape how local infrastructure funding is spent. This is a new role for Bricks and we are excited to support ideas being resourced and making an impact for people in Brislington.
What is CIL?
If you want to find out more about the Community Infrastructure Levy, you can read more on our dedicated page, as well as following the links to detailed information from the council website, as well as specific information about historical projects and budgets for our local area.
Our Role as a Community Connector
We are a locally trusted organisation nominated by councillors to engage the community both in coming up with ideas and in prioritising which ideas are important to people. Right now we are supporting councillors to find out more about how local people would like to prioritise the applications that have been made
This year’s CIL Applications
This year’s CIL applications are slightly unusual, in that the funds available for Brislington East and West are -£10,000. This negative figure is due to fact that last year’s applications were funded beyond the total money available, and as there haven’t been lots of completed developments, there isn’t much new money available.
However, the applications for money are still important, and there may be other sources for getting these proposals funded, and popular proposals might be able to roll over to next year.
The current Stage 1 CIL applications are:
- Update clubhouse facilities and refurb at Brislington Cricket Club
- Infrastructure to include chickens within our orchard and vegetable growing space (community orchard)
- St Luke’s Church Hall – Toilets refurbishment
- Improvements to Woodcroft Community Orchard
- Maintenance of community grounds at Old Redcliffians RFC
- Revive & Restore: Safe and Sustainable Park Upgrades at Arnos Park
- Improvements to local road safety- Sandy Park Rd
