Music workshop: improvisation and composition

A workshop for exploring music, creativity and improvisation. The workshop will start by exploring free improvisation and developing the skills needed to create musical improvisations as a group. This workshop is designed primarily for adults, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (21+) in possession of a separate ticket because of limited capacity in the room.

Tempo and beat but also free tempo
Getting comfortable with the unfamiliar

Composition: (at a later stage, not in the first series of workshops)
Melody, harmony and rhythm

Working with the familiar and unfamiliar in composing melodies
Different harmonic approaches/musical periods
