Make Build Create (for ages 13–18)

April 7 @ 10:30 am - 3:30 pm

Make, Build, Create is three days to experiment, get messy, try new materials, and make work you didn’t even know you could make. This isn’t about being “good at art” – instead, it’s about testing ideas, making mistakes, and seeing what happens.

Over three days you’ll:

Build sculptures from unexpected materials,

play with storytelling and folklore,

make large collaborative artworks,

experiment with collage and mixed media,

use photography and film in new ways,

and finally, curate a youth-led exhibition!

You’ll work with Holly (Youth Programme Producer at SAH) and a guest artist, Johnny Morgan-Jones in a relaxed, supportive space where you can take creative risks.

Continue the journey
If you want to keep going, there will be follow-up sessions in May/June where you can:

Create RISO-printed posters + a mini catalogue
Prepare your work for an exhibition
Showcase your work at our public Open House event in June
We will be in touch with dates and details for this.

Access
We want the programme to be open and accessible.

If getting here is a barrier for you and you need help with transport, email holly@bricksbristol.org and we can talk about options.

Young people living in BS4 can attend at no cost. Participants from other areas are welcome to join on a pay-what-you-can basis. Payment for these sessions helps us to continue delivering high quality youth programmes – thank you in advance!
