Community Installation: So, What Brought You Here?

Join the Community Exhibition Collective and help create an evolving installation celebrating the stories, creativity and connections of our local community.
This exhibition is all about your journey and your connection to this place. Whether you’re new to the area or have called it home for years, we invite you to contribute an offering that represents your experience here.
Your offering could be anything you can comfortably carry on a journey (maximum size: 30cm x 30cm), including:
- Objects
- Artworks
- Crafts
- Poems
- Photographs
- Stories
No artistic experience is needed — this is about sharing, connecting and celebrating the diversity of our community. Don’t want to bring something from home? You can create an offering at our creation stations or during one of our workshops.
Opening Ceremony
📅 7 August | 6–9pm
Bring your offering and help build the installation together.
Exhibition Open
📅 8–13 August | 10am–6pm
Explore the installation and add your own offering throughout the week.
Closing Ceremony
📅 13 August | 6–9pm
Celebrate what we’ve created together as we close the exhibition. You’ll be invited to take away an offering — either your own or someone else’s — as a way of continuing the story.
If you would like to keep your offering, simply add a tag and we’ll make sure it can return home with you.
All offerings will be added to a digital archive.
Please note: while we will do our best to care for all offerings, we cannot guarantee items won’t be damaged or lost.
