Joe Tymkow
After graduating in Fine Art from UWE in Bristol (2010), Joe had a painting accepted for the Threadneedle Prize Exhibition in 2011 and he continues to get artwork shown in local and national exhibitions.
For his degree Joe explored the painting process; focussing on medium, surface, application and support. The physical, tactile and aesthetic qualities of materials are important to him, as is the visual feedback received during the course of picture production.
Joe is a non-commercial artist; his practice is multidisciplinary in nature, and includes, drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, installation, project management and curating exhibitions.
Joe has been a committee member of Fringe Arts Bath since 2008.
Joe recently had his artwork accepted as part of the forthcoming Bradford City of Culture.
