The Community Pottery
The Community Pottery CIC is Bristol’s hub for hand-building, wheel throwing, and sculptural techniques. Founded by artists Raphaela and Dan, our mission is to bring the joy of pottery to diverse communities across Bristol.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced artist, we offer a variety of creative workshops and studio memberships to help you explore the art of pottery in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
The team have designed and built the beautiful studio on the ground floor of St Anne’s House, looking out into the wooden grove at the back. The studio offers everything you need to explore your creativity:
- 6 pottery wheels for throwing
- 2 kilns for firing your creations
- 2 spacious rooms for making and experimenting
- A dedicated glaze room for perfecting your finishes

The Community Pottery Studio Membership is perfect for those who have developed some skills through pottery classes or personal practice and need access to a fully equipped studio to bring their creative visions to life.
With 24/7 access (except during occasional events or workshops).
