Dhaqan Collective

Dhaqan Collective, is an art collective, founded by Fozia Ismail, Ayan Cilmi and Asmaa Jama. It priviileges co-creation and collaboration.

The dhaqan collective is a feminist art collective of Somali women, centring the voices of womxn and elders in our community, and privileging co-creation and collaboration. 

Dhaqan means ‘the common thread that connects Somali peoples to their ancestral homelands’ (A. A. Ilmi)
