Anouk Mercier

Anouk Mercier’s works present fantastical mise-en-scenes inspired by Romanticism and 18th Century architectural and landscape etchings. Predominantly working on paper, recent commissions have seen her practice extend to textiles and laser cutting.

She regularly exhibits both nationally and internationally and her work is held in several private and public collections, including Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery and the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Collections.

She has completed public art commission for the Office of Public Works Ireland (current), Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (2019) where she is currently Artist in Residence, as well as Trust New Arts (2018).

Anouk currently heads the The University of the West of England (UWE) Drawing Centre, and is a founding member of UWE Drawing Research.
