Generous Food Futures

The workshop was a chance for local people to come along to explore food systems, hear from food producers and activities, as well as imagine how we can creatively use technology to build generous neighbourhoods and cities.

We were joined by Bristol + Bath Creative R + D to explore a fusion of thoughts, feedback, and ideas around connecting as a community to bring about sustainable futures.

The day included guest speakers, conversations and experimentation to help us explore how a generous city can be developed through thinking about food. Guest speakers included: Katy Connor, Antony Potts, Annabel Hosford, and the day was facilitated by Chloe Meineck.

We shared a banquet created by a local chef Jasmine Creusson, ideas from the day will be digested into an experiment or mini prototype, which uses technology to implement a generous food system.

It was a wonderful event, and bought together lots of great conversations. It’s exciting to see how these conversations continue in the future.

The Generous Food Futures workshop was the result of a collaborative partnership between B+B R+D team members (based at UWE), Bricks, and Studio Meineck.
