SUMMARY:Life Drawing
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a relaxed\, untutored United Models Life Drawing session in the Mill Room at St Anne’s House\, a creative and community hub in Brislington. \nSimilarly to our Tuesday evening sessions at Kit Form\, there will always be two models posing – one for each half of the session. With this being a 90 minute session\, each model will pose for 40 minutes. Poses will range from 30 seconds to 20 minutes. There will be a short break when the models switch over\, where you can share your drawings. There will also be time for this at the end of the session\, or over lunch! \nCibomatto will be offering a meal deal for our sessions – soup\, coffee and cake. We encourage you to grab a coffee on your way in\, and to join us for lunch after the session. As a new class in this space\, we would like to support the established community at St Anne’s House\, and help make new connections. Sharing delicious food together after a morning of drawing feels like the perfect way to do this. \nBasic drawing materials will be available\, including pencils\, pastels\, charcoal\, paper and drawing boards. We do recommend that you bring your own sketchbook\, if you can. We also access to a few tables\, and there is plenty of space for easels\, if you would like to bring one to use during the session. \nThe session runs from 11:00-12:30. Please arrive at 10.45am to get set up ready for the start time. \nTickets are available on a pay what you can afford basis\, with a £10 minimum. \nEntry requirements: 18+\, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio

SUMMARY:Friendly Neighbourhood Film Night
DESCRIPTION:The Friendly Neighbourhood Film Club is back at St Anne’s House\, this time we are in house on a Wednesday\, March 25th! Back with another film to bring us together\, relax and enjoy some iconic movie moments with friends both new and old! \nThis month we are heading to New York for indie cult classic ‘Frances Ha’\, directed by Noam Baumbach and staring Greta Gurwig\,  Mickey Summer and Adam Driver. A classic of the mumblecore subgenre\, we follow Frances (Gerwig) in this heart warming\, hilarious and always relatable coming of age tale. \nThe film follows Frances who moves to New York to pursue a career in dance but gets caught up in the reality of adult life. When her best friend breaks the news she’s moving to her ideal neighbourhood with another friend\, dating begins to turn serious for those around her and the financial struggles of living in New York starts to sink in\, Frances cant help but feel the people around her seem to be moving forward in life while she is stuck in place. What follows is a film full of ups and downs as Frances goes on a journey of self discovery. \nSo\, get ready for cosiness\, lovely refreshments (popcorn to be expected) and giggles\, and join the Friendly Neighbourhood Film Club once again for a great screening. \nAbout Friendly Neighbourhood Films: \nFriendly Neighbourhood Films is a relaxed\, social film club and collaborative project by curators and creative producers Dáire Carson and Alison Jones\, hosted at St Annes House. \nEntry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs\, 1:1 ratio)

No artistic experience is needed\, but if you have skills to share\, that’s great too. As a new group\, we’ll decide what we want to explore. Welcoming all ideas and creating projects we can learn together! \nEvery Monday \n9.30am–11am. \n‘I’ve set this up because I love being creative\, whether that’s getting my paints out\, crafting things with my kids\, crocheting or making presents. After speaking to other parents\, I realised that my desire to have a creative meeting space\, open during school hours\, was something others would also enjoy. Knowing this\, it inspired me to create one. So the plan is to create a relaxed space for anyone who wants to join…Parent or not.’ – Elisha \nWe will set up a theme for each session\, where I can give inspiration and projects everyone can get involved in. There will be a WhatsApp group set up to share ideas and inspiration. The aim is to provide a creative space where we can all explore in a safe\, relaxed & friendly way. But please also feel free to bring any projects you’re working on\, you’re work may inspire us. \nSessions are free and open to those aged 18 and over\, no booking necessary. \nIf you have a small child\, you’re welcome to bring them along\, as long as you’re still able to participate fully in the session. The focus is on taking time for yourself\, so we ask that you judge whether you can take part with your child alongside. \nWe know it can be hard to anticipate\, so you are welcome to come along and test it out! \nIf you have any questions please email; georgia@bricksbristol.org

SUMMARY:Vinyasa Flow Yoga
DESCRIPTION:Vinyasa Flow Yoga – 6-7pm Every Monday at St.Anne’s House (in the Mill Room).\n \nWe begin nearly every class with seated meditation and breathwork to help us ground down and land into the Yoga practice. We then gradually warm up and mobilise the whole body to help prepare it for a series of breath led movement sequences that help build strength\, flexibility and stability (all whilst being playful and mindful along the way). Ultimately\, this is a moving meditation and a chance to step out of the chaos of everyday life and enjoy an hour to be present\, and enjoy some nourishing and explorative movement in a supportive environment.\n\nI aim to make my classes as inclusive and accessible as possible\, no matter what ‘level’ or experience of Yoga. I love to encourage people to find their own flow with their practice and there’s never any judgement if people want to add more or leave out certain movements within class.  It’s a really friendly group and I always try to create an uplifting environment in which to practice (with some good tunes playing and some lovely smelling oils diffusing 🙂\n \nAll classes can be booked here.\n\n\n\nIf you have any questions or queries at all\, please do feel free to email me via: lucyrazzmassageandyoga@gmail.com\n\n \nI can’t express enough how wonderful Lucy is and how peaceful and energising the classes are. Lucy creates a safe\, inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend!  – Helen
