SUMMARY:Yoga Foundations — 6-Week Beginners Course
DESCRIPTION:Get ready to build your yoga foundation in this 6-week course that will leave you feeling centered and strong. \n Yoga Foundations — 6-Week Beginners Course \n(formerly “Yoga for Beginners” at Yogasara) \n St Anne’s House\, Brislington (BS4) Mondays: 6.30-7.30pm 2026 \nSo excited to running this course again at St Annes House \nAfter 9 years of running this well-loved course at Yogasara\, I’m delighted to bring it to St Anne’s House — supporting both a new venue and the local BS4 community. \nThis 6-week course offers a gentle\, accessible introduction to yoga. Together we’ll explore the four pillars of yoga: \n\nBreathwork — calming and steadying the nervous system\nMeditation — simple practices for presence and perspective\nAsana (movement) — building strength\, steadiness\, and flexibility\nPhilosophy — everyday wisdom you can take off the mat\n\nYou don’t need any experience — all bodies are welcome. This isn’t about bending into shapes\, but about finding steadiness\, boundaries\, and resilience that support everyday life. \nAs the seasons shift\, autumn is the perfect time to begin: a chance to reflect\, reset\, and root yourself in practices that bring clarity and strength for the colder months ahead. \nCourse Dates: 12 Jan / 19 Jan / 26 Jan / 2 Feb / 9 Feb / 16 Feb\n Why St Anne’s House? \n\nFree on-site parking (including accessible spaces)\nAccessible ground-floor Mill Room with step-free access\nBristol Community Sauna & Cold Plunge on site for post-class relaxation\nA vibrant community hub with creative studios\, café\, and local projects\nLearn more: stanneshouse.org\n\nWhat to Bring \nWear comfortable clothes you can move inBring your own yoga mat and props if you have them\, plus a blanket and pillow for relaxation \nMats are available to borrow if needed \nAbout Katie \nI’m a Senior Yoga Teacher (1\,500+ hrs) and Family Constellations Facilitator\, known for a supportive\, down-to-earth approach. For me\, yoga is less about flexibility and more about building capacity\, perspective\, and steadiness that make life feel different — clearer\, lighter\, more possible. www.katiedespres.com \n Book your place– spaces limited full / £65 concession \nSt Anne’s staff & tenants: first 5 places at £60 with code STANNES60\nReserve direct (bank transfer preferred to avoid fees) contact me welcome@katiedespres.com\nBook via Eventbrite

SUMMARY:Creative Circle
DESCRIPTION:Join our weekly creative meet-up group set up by a local volunteer Elisha. \nThis is a space to explore art\, crafts\, and get creative. Everyone is welcome—whether you’re looking to try something new\, have a project in mind\, want to meet new people in your local area\, or just need some ‘you’ time. No artistic experience is needed\, but if you have skills to share\, that’s great too. As a new group\, we’ll decide what we want to explore. Welcoming all ideas and creating projects we can learn together! \nEvery Monday \n9.30am–11am. \n‘I’ve set this up because I love being creative\, whether that’s getting my paints out\, crafting things with my kids\, crocheting or making presents. After speaking to other parents\, I realised that my desire to have a creative meeting space\, open during school hours\, was something others would also enjoy. Knowing this\, it inspired me to create one. So the plan is to create a relaxed space for anyone who wants to join…Parent or not.’ – Elisha \nWe will set up a theme for each session\, where I can give inspiration and projects everyone can get involved in. There will be a WhatsApp group set up to share ideas and inspiration. The aim is to provide a creative space where we can all explore in a safe\, relaxed & friendly way. But please also feel free to bring any projects you’re working on\, you’re work may inspire us. \nSessions are free and open to those aged 18 and over\, no booking necessary. \nIf you have a small child\, you’re welcome to bring them along\, as long as you’re still able to participate fully in the session. The focus is on taking time for yourself\, so we ask that you judge whether you can take part with your child alongside. \nWe know it can be hard to anticipate\, so you are welcome to come along and test it out! \nIf you have any questions please email; georgia@bricksbristol.org
