SUMMARY:Talk and Q&A: The History of Halloween with Ronald Hutton
DESCRIPTION:Halloween is usually regarded as the creepiest festival of the modern year. A celebration of witchcraft\, phantoms and images of fear coming down to us from a remote and murky pagan past. \nBut how old and how pagan is Halloween really? Was it the ancient pagan feast of the dead\, or the Celtic New Year? What role does it play in the modern world\, and should it still be celebrated? \nJoin us for a delightfully spooky evening as Professor Ronald Hutton answers all this and more about the much-loved and much-misunderstood festival. \nDoors: 6:30pm\, Start: 7:00pm \n
