SUMMARY:Brislington Utopia 2040: A Climate and Nature Action workshop - RESCHEDULED!
DESCRIPTION:We have rescheduled this event. It will now happen on Wednesday 24th January 2024\, 6.15 – 8.15 at St Cuthberts. \nJoin us for our next community workshop on climate and nature action in Brislington. All welcome! Sign Up. \nThis event will transport you to a future Brislington of vibrant nature and climate action to playfully explore how this utopia was made. \nWelcome to Brislington 2040. Brislington is now a utopia for nature and climate action. With wildlife corridors\, swim to work schemes\, and a vibrant planet friendly local economy\, our ward is known for being one of the best places to live in the UK. \nBut how did we get here? That’s the question you’ll be answering. This event will invite you to step into the shoes of future residents who are telling the story of how they created the utopia of 2040. During the session you’ll work together to discuss and imagine this journey then find ways to share this story with others. \nThis is an event for anyone who lives or works in Brislington and wants to dream up better futures and pathways to reach them. You don’t need to have any knowledge or expertise of the subject to be part of these conversations. All ages are welcome\, though it is likely to be most engaging for 13+. \nThe session will help us to create a climate action plan for Brislington – which is all about making Brislington a happy\, healthy place to live for everyone and taking positive action for our planet at the same time. \nSign up here \nDate: Wednesday 24 January \nTime: 6.15pm – 8.15pm \nLocation: St Cuthbert’s Church Sandy Park Rd\, Brislington\, Bristol BS4 3PG (Come in at the bottom of the church /lower road) \nRefreshments \nThere will be free food and drinks to keep you going through the session. You are welcome to bring some to share too! \nAccess \nPlease complete the eventbrite sign up let us know about your access requirement or you can email Georgia directly on georgia@bricksbristol.org \nFacilitators \nThe event is part of the Community Climate Action project facilitated by Bricks (who run St Anne’s House) and is being run in collaboration with local creative producers. Find out more about the Community Climate Action plan and what has happened so far: \nEmma Geen is a local resident\, and an activist\, author and researcher.
